All about Ayé

Ayé (Eye-yay) is an internationally known liberation artist and alchemist. Their practice ranges from reproductive justice evangelism, popular education, health policy advocacy, and multiple forms of pleasure-seeking. Currently, they are the Blueprint Manager at Apiary for Practical Support. Their jam is world-building, weaving throughout and across movement spaces, connecting with and building relationships within communities, and creating systems of care.

Ayé is a skilled teacher and facilitator around Reproductive Justice, systems building, abortion destigmatization, and supporting folks who are pregnant as a birth and abortion doula. Their time as a doula supporting over 30 families in birth and countless others through different pregnancy outcomes shaped all the work that would come after. They approach all of their work from the doula framework. Doulas support people (creatures) in transitions of life. Whether from person to parent, or idea to program, they provide nonjudgmental support with information, resources, and deep care. Always keeping the work community focused, values-driven, radically honest, free, and full of pleasure.

I work to make the work irresistible and accessible, and our world not only equitable but feel good. I come from a Black tradition and lineage where community care and worlds exist within worlds. All of my foremothers fed, housed, and loved anyone who came through their door. My forefathers were men of resources if not means, who built containers of joy and community via often illicit means.
